- There Is More To Learning Than ABCs and 1-2-3s
Have you ever thought about homeschooling your child with special needs? Maybe right now you are on the fence about that very decision. I know that in the beginning I felt that my daughter’s needs were too great for me to be her teacher. Boy, was I wrong about that! What I found is that I can homeschool my daughter effectively at home. I might even be her best choice. The great news is that you are probably your child’s best teacher as well. Join me for a quick series that will hopefully get you off the fence and into teaching your child.
Introducing the Series
During this series hopefully you will feel confident enough to take on the role of teacher in your child’s life. While this is a daunting task for any parent to undertake, it can seem impossible for those dealing with special needs. It doesn’t have to feel that way if you remember three very important things:
- You Are The Only Teacher They Need
- Anyone Can Learn If You Teach For Memory And Retention
- There Is More To Learning Than The ABCs and 1-2-3’s
This series will dive into the above topics, and by the end it is my goal to help you journey into the most rewarding job you will ever manage. The best part, is that this series is part of a bigger blog hop. Keep coming back! You will not only get the support you need to begin homeschooling your special needs child, you will get other great homeschool information as well.
I am joining the Review Crew’s annual Not Back To School Blog Hop where you will get a ton of homeschool resources all in one place! Don’t miss out, and make sure to follow us for the next week.
