Magic Stix Washable Markers The Markers That Won’t Dry Out a Review

Do you have budding artists in your family?  I know we have a few in ours.  It seems that we run to the craft supply store almost as often as we run to the grocery store.   I love seeing the completed projects, and knowing that my kids are occupying their time with something other than electronics and TV.  It can be frustrating though, knowing that I just bought a pack of markers, only to find that half of them are colorless and dried up.  Magic Stix Washable Markers by The Pencil Grip, Inc has been a wonderful addition to our family art corner.

We no longer have an an issue with markers drying up before their time, simply because a cap did not go back on tight enough.  I don’t know about your house, but this used to be a real problem in our house.  Due to her cerebral palsy, our daughter sometimes has trouble getting the caps on her markers tightly.  I try to remember to check the markers when she is finished with a project, but unfortunately I don’t always remember.  When we were asked to review the Magic Stix Washable Markers I have to admit that I was skeptical.

Can they really go seven whole days without drying up?

I can honestly say that these markers perform just as they say.  They really do not dry up like other markers we have used.  Although we did not purposely set out to test their seven day claim, we did happen to do so accidentally.  A few weeks ago, we spent a very hectic week in the hospital with my youngest daughter.  When we left the hospital, we quickly put all of the markers inside my daughter’s travel desk thinking we would put them away when we got home.  One thing lead to another, and a week went by before we actually got to the task.  That’s when we noticed that three markers were not tightly capped.

I thought for sure they would be dried up, but guess what?  They are still working just has they did when we first got them.  This not only saved my pocketbook, but saved me time as well.  The nice thing about these markers is that you really don’t have to make a stop at the craft store to purchase them either.  They are at my favorite online store Amazon.  This also saves me some money, because when I go to the craft store, I always find things I did not even know I needed.

With twenty-four colors to choose from, pretty much every color you are going to need is in the box.  I also like that the box is its own carrying case, so markers don’t get lost.  The carrying case is thin enough to pack into my daughter’s travel desk.  In the event that you don’t have a travel desk, the case is just the right size to use as a drawing surface when you are on the go.

You don’t have to take my word for it.  Let’s hear from my budding artists.

“With other marker sets you only get the primary colors, but here you get a lot of colors.  And they don’t dry out like other markers.”

Chris (Mom)

“I really like not having to worry about markers getting dried up before their time.  I even use them for my own projects, because they have a nice fine point, vibrant colors, and are not thick like a lot of washable markers.”
