Learn How Balancing Diapers and Deadlines is Helping Mompreneurs (Review)

When you are a mompreneur, your days start early and they definitely end late.  Busy is an understatement, and exhausted becomes the new normal.  Or does it?  Most of you reading this right now are shaking your heads “Yes.”  But, what if I told you that there was another way?  Mama, put your coffee cup down and listen.  It just may save your life, your family and your business.   Lisa Tanner of Lisa Tanner Writing wants to help.  She is a mompreneur just like you that took a look at her crazy life and said, “No more!”  She developed a new method to get things done smarter and in less time called Balancing Diapers and Deadlines.  I got the opportunity to review this new training for mompreneurs and here is what I found…

A Little Bit About Lisa Tanner

Lisa Tanner is a mompreneur who also happens to be a mom of seven kiddos.  She knows busy probably better than anyone.  Like many of you, Lisa began her journey into mompreneurism honestly.  She needed to help provide an income for her family, and she did so in the only way she could – working from home.  As you know, working from home brings up many challenges that moms who work outside the home just don’t have to deal with.  Add homeschool to the mix, and it can be utter chaos if you let it.

Lisa uses humor to bring you virtually into her home and family, so that you can see that she really has been where you might be now.  Dirty dishes?  Check.  Exhausted, frustrated mama? Check.  No matter where you are on your journey, chances are Lisa has been there too, and has some great advice to offer.

Diapers to Deadlines

A Little Bit About Balancing Diapers and Deadlines

The course is set up as one large course with several mini courses (lessons) inside.  Each lesson does not take very long.  Maybe 5-10 minutes of reading.  See, like I said, Lisa gets it.  She knows that you might have to take your phone into the bathroom, lock the door and read for like 5-10 minutes to get the peace you need to complete this course.  Well, lets hope that’s not the case, but you get the idea.  There are a lot of little chucks of learning that you can spread over time to eventually get you where you need to be.

The course outline looks like this:

  • Welcome to Balancing Diapers and Deadlines
  • Building Your Foundation With the Basics
  • Minimize Your Decisions
  • Minimize Your Decisions:  The Annual Meal Plan
  • Sustainable Growth
  • Growing Your Business With Your Kids Involved
  • Boost Your Productivity
  • Closing Thoughts

Some of the best nuggets of information I took away from this course so far (no, not done, I’m a busy mom) are:

  • Have a plan
  • Bring Your Kids on the Journey
  • Get Creative
  • You Are Not Alone
  • Perfection Isn’t a Thing

My Take On Things…

Now, I am not going to tell you that I didn’t know some of the things that Lisa talks about already.  I am a mom after all, and I have raised three of them to adulthood.  But, sometimes we need reminders, even if we are already seasoned.  I wish I had this course earlier on, as I may not have struggled so much when I was starting out.  Even the best of us can get in a rut, so if you are like me and have been doing this quite awhile, you will still find great tips and quite a few good reminders.

Review Crew Thoughts…
